It’s unbelievable that we’re almost through with 2025.

How has 2025 gone for you on YouTube?

If you need help steering your journey in the right direction check this out.

Today, I want to answer a question a creator asked me recently.

“What’d you do if you started a new YouTube channel in 2025?”

I’ll be condensing my seven years of experience into these lessons I’m sharing.

Take it from someone who spent several years in the trenches before becoming a global creator who has now helped hundreds of creators that now earn thousands of dollars monthly.

I’ll keep this short.

Here are the things I would do differently:

  1. Pick a niche.

I’ll find out my passion, research existing channels around my niche and their profitability.

This applies to faceless channels too.

  1. Build relevant skills.

I’d start with my best available camera (my smartphone)

I’d build skills like writing captivating titles, scripting, storytelling,  thumbnails, editing, etc.

(For the faceless Channel, I’d master the right AI tools.)

  1. Start fast to build confidence.

I’d post consistently (not necessarily daily) to beat imposter syndrome, develop my style, and improve on camera

(For the faceless channel, I’d be churning out faceless videos)

  1. Focus on analytics.

I’d let the data around my videos guide me to improve my CTR, watch time and retention.

  1. Scale.

I’d build a team and a real business so growth doesn’t rely on my presence alone.

One thing that could accelerate my journey faster is to learn from someone ahead of me- through courses, mentorships, or coaching to skip common beginner mistakes.
